Problem 1



In Windows Task Bar, it shows the “Network connection Icon” with a red-cross mark. “Network cable disconnected / unplugged” error is displayed, when the mouse pointer is placed there.

 

Remedy



  1. Check whether the cable is connected to the switch / hub.


  2. Check whether the switch is on or off. Switch on and verify that the connection is okay.


  3. If the switch is on, but the computer is not connected, then check for any physical damage in the cable.


  4. If the cable is damaged, remove the cable and replace.


  5. If the RJ-45 connector is damaged physically, then cut the cable and fix a new one.


 

Problem 2



No network communications and no packets are being transferred.



Remedy



  1. Check whether the network card is installed and enabled.


  2. Check the driver status. Is it the correct driver?


  3. Check whether the cable is correctly connected to the network.


  4. Check for any physical damage in the cable or connector.


  5. In the network connection properties, check whether all the necessary protocols are installed.


  6. Install TCP/IP and re-configure the network card. Use Ping utility to check communications to the desired node address.


Problem 3

In the device manager property page, the newly added network card is signed with a yellow circle containing an exclamation mark.

Remedy

  1. Check whether the network card is correctly fixed.


  2. Check whether the correct driver is installed.


  3. Use the driver from the CD provided by the vendor, if the driver is not available on the Windows operating system CD.


  4. Remove (un-install) the driver and remove the network card.


  5. Re-install the network card in another slot and install the drivers


  6. If there is any utility software provided by the manufacturer, use that to check the status of the network card.

Install .NET Framework 3.5 in Windows 10 without internet(offline)

By default  in Windows 10 .net framework 4.5 is pre installed. If we install .net framework 3.5 apps Windows 10 will prompt to install .net framework 3.5 from internet. It will take to long time. Here is another way to quick installation without internet connection. Insert Windows10 DVD or load your ISO image or Insert bootable flash disk. CTRL+E This PC -> Note the Drive letter of installation media  In my case it's D: Open Command Prompt as admin mode Type the following command                                                                                                   Dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFX3 /All /Source:D:\sources\sxs /LimitAccess Replace D: with your drive letter (what you note down before 3rd point) Now installation will start.After completion of installation "The operation completed successfully"message will display.

General SMPS-Swith Mode Power Supply Problem and fix

Problem The computer boots normally, but behaves erratically after some time. Remedy The power supply may not be able to support the load inside the computer. The internal fan in the SMPS could have failed and excessive heat inside the SMPS might have caused the erratic output voltages. Check whether the SMPS fan is functioning. If the fan is okay, then switch off the power. Remove the power cable and open the cabinet.. Check the SMPS output voltages, after connecting the power cable and switching on the computer.
