  Problem 1 In Windows Task Bar, it shows the “Network connection Icon” with a red-cross mark. “Network cable disconnected / unplugged” error is displayed, when the mouse pointer is placed there.   Remedy Check whether the cable is connected to the switch / hub. Check whether the switch is on or off. Switch on and verify that the connection is okay. If the switch is on, but the computer is not connected, then check for any physical damage in the cable. If the cable is damaged, remove the cable and replace. If the RJ-45 connector is damaged physically, then cut the cable and fix a new one.   Problem 2 No network communications and no packets are being transferred.
