Printer

Problem The dot matrix printer prints junk characters. Remedy Check the printing by using a self-test. If the self-test is okay, then check the printer again by connecting to a PC. If the printed page is showing junk characters, check whether correct drivers are installed or not. If the correct driver is installed, then check with a new parallel port cable or use an appropriate cable for that printer. Problem An inkjet printer is not printing lines correctly (no proper horizontal or vertical lines). Remedy Check whether the correct driver is installed. Check whether the ink cartridge is installed properly. Check whether the cartridge alignment is done after replacing the cartridge. After alignment, take a test print. Problem Digital camera does not switch on. Remedy Check for batteries in the camera. Check whether the batteries are charged fully. Connect the digital camera to the power adapter and confirm whether it switches on. If it switches on, allow the batteries to get charged and again check by switching off the main power supply. Replace the batteries if necessary. Problem Captured image (web cam) clarity is not good. Remedy Check whether the driver is properly installed. Check for proper display settings. Check the lens settings in the web cam. Adjust the lens system to show a better image on the screen. Use the calibration software to improve the clarity of the image.

Monitor

Problem             Monitor LED blinks and shows an orange light.     Remedy Check whether the monitor is connected to the correct VGA port. Check whether the computer is on. This situation arises when the computer is not sending any data / signal. Connect the monitor cable to the correct VGA port and check. If the problem is not solved, then switch off and remove the monitor. Inspect the monitor cable for any physical damage. If the cable is damaged, replace the monitor cable. Connect power and connect the monitor to the correct VGA port. Switch on the computer to check if the display is okay. This problem may also arise due to a failed VGA card. If the problem is not due to cable, switch off the computer and check by using another working display card.
