Problem



The dot matrix printer prints junk characters.



Remedy



  1. Check the printing by using a self-test.


  2. If the self-test is okay, then check the printer again by connecting to a PC.


  3. If the printed page is showing junk characters, check whether correct drivers are installed or not.


  4. If the correct driver is installed, then check with a new parallel port cable or use an appropriate cable for that printer.




Problem



An inkjet printer is not printing lines correctly (no proper horizontal or vertical lines).



Remedy



  1. Check whether the correct driver is installed.


  2. Check whether the ink cartridge is installed properly.


  3. Check whether the cartridge alignment is done after replacing the cartridge.


  4. After alignment, take a test print.


  5. The printer is now configured to print horizontal and vertical lines properly.




Problem



An output from a laser printer displays black images on one side and very light images on the other side.



Remedy



  1. Check whether the printer cable is connected properly to the computer.


  2. Switch off the printer. Remove power cable.


  3. Open the laser printer.


  4. Remove the toner cartridge and shake the cartridge.


  5. Clean any toner spilled inside the printer.


  6. Re-install the cartridge correctly.


  7. Connect the cable between the computer and the printer.


  8. Switch on the printer. Test the printer output by sending a self-test.


  9. Now the printer prints pages without variation of toner density.


  10. Note: Refilling is normally not recommended by the manufacturers. However a refilled cartridge costs less and can be used for longer draft mode jobs.


  11. In the printer settings, make the output printed in fast draft mode to save toner.






Problem



The printer is not printing the Excel spread sheets correctly.

 

Remedy



  1. Check whether the correct driver is installed.


  2. Check whether the application is configured to use this driver to print.


  3. Un-install the printer driver.


  4. Check whether any virus has infected the computer.


  5. After scanning and cleaning the virus, re-install printer driver.


  6. Check the printing. Now the printer prints correctly.




Problem



Actual colours are not produced in the colour output.



Remedy



  1. Check whether the colour cartridge is empty.


  2. If any one of the three colours is emptied, then the actual colour may not be printed.


  3. If the colour cartridge is full, then remove the driver.


  4. Re-install the printer driver.


  5. Check printing by taking a sample job with number of colours.

Install .NET Framework 3.5 in Windows 10 without internet(offline)

By default  in Windows 10 .net framework 4.5 is pre installed. If we install .net framework 3.5 apps Windows 10 will prompt to install .net framework 3.5 from internet. It will take to long time. Here is another way to quick installation without internet connection. Insert Windows10 DVD or load your ISO image or Insert bootable flash disk. General SMPS-Swith Mode Power Supply Problem and fix

Problem The computer boots normally, but behaves erratically after some time. Remedy The power supply may not be able to support the load inside the computer. The internal fan in the SMPS could have failed and excessive heat inside the SMPS might have caused the erratic output voltages. Check whether the SMPS fan is functioning.
