Joystick and scanner

Problem



Joystick movement is not smooth.



Remedy



  1. Check whether the joystick is connected properly.


  2. Check whether the joystick driver is installed.


  3. Use the joystick calibration software to calibrate x, y and z-axis movements.


  4. Joystick will work smoothly after calibration.




Problem



The joystick cannot be used, after installing a new sound card.



Remedy



  1. Check the device property page of the joystick.


  2. Check the device property page of the sound card.


  3. Check whether there is any resource conflict.


  4. Change the conflicting resource settings.


  5. Both the joystick and sound card will function normally after changing the resource settings.


Problem



The scanner is not providing clear images.



Remedy



  1. Check whether the scanner driver is corrupt.


  2. In case of a corrupt driver, install from the vendor CD.


  3. Use the scanner software to calibrate the light source and the mechanical system of the scanner.


  4. After calibration, check by using a sample page.


  5. Acquire the image and verify the image clarity.




Problem



Gray scale image results when scanning a colour photo.



Remedy



  1. This can happen due to a corrupt driver or incorrect configuration.


  2. Uninstall and re-install the driver again.


  3. In the software’s configuration settings, select colour image and not gray scale image.


  4. Check the display settings for better resolution.


  5. Now scanning of colour pictures is regulated.

Install .NET Framework 3.5 in Windows 10 without internet(offline)

By default  in Windows 10 .net framework 4.5 is pre installed. If we install .net framework 3.5 apps Windows 10 will prompt to install .net framework 3.5 from internet. It will take to long time. Printer

Problem The dot matrix printer prints junk characters. Remedy Check the printing by using a self-test. If the self-test is okay, then check the printer again by connecting to a PC. If the printed page is showing junk characters, check whether correct drivers are installed or not. If the correct driver is installed, then check with a new parallel port cable or use an appropriate cable for that printer.
