Key Board

Problem
Key struck.
Remedy

1. Switch off the machine and detach the keyboard from the computer.
2. The keys are struck pull out the keys by using a chip puller/twister.
3. If the keyboard is mechanical adjust the spring in key switches and another one option is to replace the key switch by a new switch.
4. If the keyboard is membrane keyboard, open the keyboard and clean all the membranes and re-assemble the keyboard and check for the stuck keys.
5. If the problem persists replace the keyboard.
   
   
   Problem
   Keyboard is not working properly
   Remedy
   Check the keyboard connection to a computer it’s properly connected or not.
   Check for any physical damages of the keyboard cable.
   Check the keyboard drivers are installed correctly.
   Check the key the keyboard works or not by using the special keys (numlock).
   
   Problem
   Wireless key board not detected.
   Remedy
   First check the key board has batteries inside.
   Check the keyboard driver is installed or not.
   Pres the connect button which is on the attachment connected to the computer’s port.
   
   Problem
   Keyboard is not receiving power.
   Remedy
   Check the keyboard is connected to a computer or not.
   Check for any physical damage of the cable.
   To see keyboard connector if the pin is broken or bent ,due to force while connecting straighten the bend bin and then connect.
   Now the keyboard is working properly.
   
   Problem
   Key board connectors do not match.
   Remedy
   First Confirm what type of keyboard is present on your mother board.
   It should either 5-pin DIN or a 6-pin ps/2 connector on the mother board.
   If your mother board is 5-pinDIN connector uses 5-pinDIN to 6-pinps/2(male to female) connector.
   If your mother board is 6-pinps/2 connector uses 5-pinDIN to 6-pinps/2 (female to male) connector.
